This flint building dates to late 18th century The pub has since knocked through in to the next door property.
"Hare & Hounds" - was remodelled & extended (into adjoining property, I think) in the 1990s. In 60s, the left-hand door opened into the smallest "snug" bar you've ever seen - there was only just room for the door to open into it.
Many thanks to worthing pubs.com

Landlords for many years in the 1960s & 1970s were Sam & Nellie Brookes; followed by landlords Dennis Peters in the early 1990s and Tony Hills in the late 1990s. In 2004 the pub was taken over by Peter Wilson and Michael Shiel up until 2009.
Peter Wilson retired in November 2025 and the new landlords are Justin Williams and Donna Venn Williams.
